1:1 CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are very important to gather information about your health and daily habits. Nutritional Therapy applies a comprehensive approach to your body and to your lifestyle. This information helps the nutritional therapist make a DEEP STUDY of YOUR CASE, evaluating your body as a whole to create a PERSONALISED PROGRAMME uniquely tailored for your needs.
The first thing to do:
Book a consultation online
Book an online consultation via email or fill out the form. Once an online consultation is confirmed, you will receive a questionnaire that will give us an overview of your health, symptoms and information about your diet. This step includes a 3-day food diary for you to fill in.
The questionnaire must be returned via email before the initial consultation. This will help to identify possible dietary or lifestyle factors that are contributing to your symptoms, or health concerns. I will also ask you to list any medication, previous lab tests or supplements that you are currently taking.
A link for the online consultation will be sent to you in advance via email so that you can connect at the agreed time and day.
What happens in the initial consultation?
At your consultation
The one-to-one online consultation with the nutritional therapist will last approximately 60 or 90 minutes. During the consultation you will be asked questions about your health, lifestyle habits and about why you have sought help. Together with the nutritional therapist, we will examine your health goals and establish a nutritional & lifestyle programme uniquely tailored to your needs.
At the end of the consultation, you will have gained:
- A complete and professional understanding of your health concerns;
- A compilation of information about your current health from the nutritionist;
- Insights into some of the foods that may be contributing to your ailments or health concerns;
- An explanation of vitamins or minerals that may be insufficient in your diet;
- Suggestions about things to eat that will contribute to your improved health, and ideas about where to buy such foods in your area;
- Data about the advantages of the nutritional programme and likely problems if the advice is not followed;
- Lifestyle modifications, if necessary, to improve your health;
- A date to start your nutritional & lifestyle plan, and a timetable for following up on your progress;
- Recommendations for functional tests and supplements that could help in your treatment.
What should I keep in mind after the initial consultation?
After the consultation:
You will receive by email, in a maximum of 72 hours, your nutritional & lifestyle plan for 4 – 6 weeks, up to the next follow-up consultation. If you have any questions during this time, you can do so via email, with a guaranteed response within two days. In Online consultations, you probably will receive a video, brief online meeting to explain you in details your new plan.
Are follow-up consultations necessary?
Follow-up consultations
These consultations are crucial, and the client is strongly encouraged to reserve follow-ups to ensure maximum progress. The body takes time to healing some conditions, and it will depend of your commitment. Follow-up consultations are generally shorter than the initial ones, and can be booked for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or one hour, depending on the client’s needs.
What you will get in follow-up consultations:
- An opportunity to ask questions about your program and to discuss your progress;
- A review of changes that have been noticed, and the chance to make any necessary modifications to your program;
- Advice and possible adaptions to your program, for example if you have any new symptoms, could not find a recommended product or could not perform a certain test;
- An updated nutrition plan adapted to your new circumstances or fresh goals.
Booking for follow-up consultations via email, and specify the length of consultation you would like and your preferred time and date.
